NameStudioAPI Demo
Project Overview
The NameStudioAPI Demo was created to showcase the backend capabilities of the domain name suggestion engine in a developer-facing context. Built on early machine learning models, the API generates domain name ideas using semantic relationships — including synonyms, prefixes, suffixes, and contextual relevance.
Goals
Demonstrate the full range of domain suggestion types supported by the NameStudioAPI
Provide developers with a clear, interactive way to explore API responses and understand integration potential
Highlight the semantic intelligence behind the tool, including keyword expansion and contextual matching
Challeneges
Translating raw API responses into a digestible, user-friendly interface for technical and non-technical audiences
Balancing technical transparency with visual clarity — exposing backend logic without overwhelming the viewer
Ensuring the demo site aligned with brand standards and performed consistently across devices
My Role
I collaborated with engineering, product teams and fellow designers to create an interactive demo experience that illustrates how the API serves up suggestions across multiple use cases, helping developers understand its power and versatility.
User Experience Design
Defined user flows that guided developers through different suggestion types and response formats
Created a clean, modular interface that emphasized clarity and ease of exploration
Collaboration
Worked closely with engineering to align frontend presentation with backend logic
Branding
Ensured the demo reflected the broader NameStudio identity while standing on its own as a technical showcase
